This was the earliest that we have had our tree, November 23rd! Even before my Birthday, never in my 30 years of life have I had one so soon. It is still doing good even though it has been up for a month. The tree trunk ornament for this year is still out in the garage waiting to dry.
Well I have to say that Florida doesn't have many Christmas Tree Farms.... we went to the same tree lot as last year, the trees come all the way from Washington state. They also give some of the proceeds to the local high school.
We had a bit of an unconventional Thanksgiving... We had a few invitations, but decided to do our own thing this year and hang out as a family. It was definitely a stress free day. Jared made homemade tamales and enchiladas, and I made 7 layer dip and scotcharoos/o'henry bars. We did have turkey sandwiches for lunch so that counts.
